FloMix asphalt repairs can be done with minimal preparation. There is no need for saw cutting or demolition. Simply sweep or blow out the damaged asphalt, mix up your materials and place it. The repair can then be opened to traffic in about an hour. See the steps below:
Things To Remember:
- Do not apply in wet weather and make sure your asphalt is dry before you begin.
- Never fill your repair above grade, stay just below grade to allow room for your topping sand.
- Always use clean tools and a dry cloth as moisture will cause foaming.
- Once FloMix has been mixed, you will have about 10 minutes to place the material.
Coverage:
One 5-gallon bucket will provide .4 cubic feet of coverage. To extend this, or for deeper repairs, a bag of BlakRok will bring your coverage to about .6 cubic feet.
Temperature:
When the thermostat is above 85° your material may set up quickly so try to keep FloMix cool when it is hot out. When the temperatures drop below 55° add catalyst to the B bottle and shake before mixing it in the bucket. This will speed up your cure time in cold weather.
